3 John: A True Disciple

Let Me Add this…

We have all heard the good news, we know we must give it away, but how you might say, I’m no missionary, pastor, elder, or teacher. I am too young, too old or not gifted in the right way.

There is a movie called Hidden Figures. It is about these women who were for the most part forgotten, but with them the country would not have made the progress that it had in the space race. We might have even lost the race to the moon. No one ever knew about them until just a few years ago in their old age.

The Bible is full of hidden figures. Hidden Figures that had lasting effects on the growth of the early church and the explosion of the gospel message.

Let’s look at one of them named Gaius. He is no where to be found except right here in one of the final letters written by John and one of the last letters written in the bible.

We meet Gaius right here, who is he. He is a disciple of John, He is living, He is Walking, and he is serving faithfully and John has no greater joy than to hear that his child, his disciple, is walking in the truth (verse 4)
