How to get started in Photography?
The world of photography can be an intimidating one, but it’s never been easier to get started. With the right tools and a bit of guidance, anyone can become a confident photographer. Here are a few tips to help you get off on the right foot.
1. Choose Your Camera
The first step in getting started with photography is selecting the right camera for your needs. If you’re just learning, you may not want to invest a lot of money into an expensive DSLR camera; instead look for options that will provide good quality pictures at reasonable prices. Consider how many megapixels and features like zoom and autofocus that the camera offers. A good place to start are APS-C cameras, which provide the DSLR experience for a fraction for the cost of a full frame camera. The main difference is the size of the sensor. For beginners, this option will give you room to explore and try out things like different lenses and focal lengths as well as shooting in manual and playing with the both the shutter speed and aperture to get the demurred look you want. The camera I started with was the Nikon D3100 and the Sony a6300. The Sony a6000 series are great camera under a $1000. So if you are looking to get into the world of photography, then those are a great place to start.
